To set the gain of individual channels, press the "Press to Modify Channel Names & Individual Gains" button (circled left in red). The dialog box shown below will open.

To set the gain for a channel on the DAQ832, find the Gain section (circled left in red). Click one of the Global Gain radio-buttons to select the gain. In this example, '5' was selected. To apply the selected gain to a single channel, press the channel button next to the desired channel. Note the Apply Gain column (circled left in blue). When the channel button (circled left in blue and orange) of the desired channel is pressed, the new gain will be displayed in the Gain column (circled below in red). To undo a change, click the desired channel button again and the gain will toggle between the new and old values.

To apply a gain to all channels, select one of the Gain radio-buttons (circled above in red). In this example, a gain of '1' was selected. To apply the selected gain to all channels, press the "Set All" button (circled left in blue). A dialog will appear asking if you really want to make the change. If you press the "Yes" button, the new gain will be displayed in each channel's gain box in the Gain column (circled left in red). To undo a change, click the desired channel button again and the gain will toggle between the new and old values.

TO RENAME A CHANNEL, just type the new name in the Channel Name edit box of the desired channel (in this example, where 'Ch1' is highlighted).

When you are satisfied with the gain settings and the channel names, press the "Close Window" button (circled left in orange), or close the window.

If you selected channels that have different gain settings, the Global Gain section (circled left in red), will not have any radio-buttons selected. If however, all channels have the same gain setting, the Global Gain section will have the appropriate radio-button selected.
